GM Shreveport fills Hummer fleet order

The local General Motors facility has made the final
Hummer vehicle to complete a fleet order of 849
vehicles.

The order came in March, and production of the H3
and H3T started the week of April 26. The plant had
until this month to complete it.

GM spokesman Otie McKinley said this will likely be
the last Hummer to come off the assembly line in
Shreveport.

GM announced earlier this year that it would phase
out the brand after negotiations to sell it to a
Chinese company fell through.
