Sen. Corker should not campaign at UAW halls

John Ruff
GOODLETTSVILLE 37072

To the Editor:

Well, Mr. Corker, this should be a red-letter day for you and some of your colleagues in Washington. You blamed all the problems with the auto industry on the United Auto Workers (UAW). You thought we should take cuts in pensions, health care, wages and other benefits. Looks like you got your wish.

Reports from the media say that the retired General Motors employees, all the way to the young work force currently employed, will give up a lot … perhaps give it all up.

A word of advice, Mr. Corker: When you begin your campaign for re-election, I would skip your visits to the GM UAW halls.
