GM to make significant investment in Ohio plant

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., Aug 15 (Reuters) – General Motors Corp said on Friday that it planned to announce a multimillion-dollar investment in its manufacturing complex in Lordstown, Ohio, next week.

GM also said it would release the first photographs of its Chevrolet Cruze small car at a ceremony on Thursday at the Lordstown complex. The car will be available in European markets in the spring and later in other regions.

The Cruze, which was developed by a global design and engineering team, will be built at multiple locations around the world. GM plans to debut the Cruze officially at the Paris Motor Show in September. (Reporting by David Bailey; Editing by Lisa Von Ahn)
